In Search of Serendipity:
Applying Actor-Network Theory to Zettelkasten and How Natural Language Processing Can Help Manage Difficulties Arising from Zettelkasten's Bottom-Up Structure

This thesis was written as part of my Master of Arts, Creative Technologies degree. It investigates the intersection between the Zettelkasten system, creative ideation and software tooling.

Specifically, it identifies a common difficulty with the Zettelkasten system and uses Actor-Network Theory as a theoretical framework to guide the design principles of a machine learning based software solution for that difficulty.
